As a Grand Finale, to what has been a spectacular year for community events, we will be lighting up the street in December with 24 Advent Windows.
The idea originates from a Residents Association in Hull who borrowed the idea from Switzerland.
Basically, 24 houses will be allocated a date (number) in December on which they need to decorate their downstairs/upstairs front window, garden, walls, roof, chimney, husband, wife, cat or any combination of the above with any theme they like as long as it incorporates their Advent Number.
